Mission of the Foundation
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation seeks to help communities and enrich lives by combining the collective strengths of the industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership.
In 1994, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation was formed to support nonprofit programs throughout California. Today, the Foundation has a national reach with the establishment of a New York Division and the expansion of California to include the western U.S. with the launch of a Western Division.
In 2008 the establishment of a National Board of Governors confirmed the national presence of the Foundation throughout the United States.
The Foundation is funded and directed by insurance industry professionals representing a broad spectrum of the industry: reinsurers, insurance agents and brokers, property/casualty companies, health/life companies and related advertising, public relations, law, accounting, computer and other companies that work closely with the insurance industry.

PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY FOOD BANK AND HELP FEED THE HUNGRY
Please don't forget those who are less fortunate. By supporting your community food bank year-round, you will help assure that those in need will not go hungry.
With the current state of our economy, many people who did not need assistance in the past may need it now. Some of them may be your own friends and neighbors.
Unfortunately, many of the food banks are experiencing a decrease in donations and have empty or near-empty shelves. They cannot sufficiently support the growing numbers that are requiring assistance. Please donate to your food bank today by making a donation of food or funds.
When donating food items, please remember that bulk items of rice, dry beans, pasta, flour, canned meats, tuna and fruits, cereals, fruit juices, etc. are more valuable to a hungry family than items like canned gravies, sweetened condensed milk, olives or pickles, diet foods or bottled salad dressings. If uncertain, make a monetary or grocery store gift card donation.
PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN! To find a food bank in your community go to: http://feedingamerica.org/.
